Amarnath Yatra 2025 : CRPF Chief reviews security measures at Nunwan base camp | KNO

Pahalgam, July 09 (KNO): Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), G P Singh on Wednesday visited the Nunwan Base Camp here in South Kashmir to review security arrangements for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the CRPF chief conducted a comprehensive inspection of security deployments and logistics along the yatra route. He interacted with officers and personnel stationed at the base camp. During his overnight stay at Headquarters of the 116 Battalion, the DG held an informal interaction with the jawans, appreciating their dedication, discipline, and round-the-clock readiness. "As part of his journey along the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route, DG #CRPF Shri @gpsinghips carried out a detailed review of the security setup at Nunwan Base Camp, Pahalgam—reinforcing #CRPF’s active role in ensuring a safe and smooth pilgrimage for all devotees." the CRPF said on X. "At HQ 116 Bn, where he stayed overnight, the DG engaged in an informal interaction with the troops—highlighting the importance of the Yatra and our collective responsibility to make every devotee feel secure and at ease. He appreciated the personnel for their alertness, professionalism, and sense of purpose in service." The 38-day Amarnath Yatra that commenced on July 3 will end on August 9—(KNO)
